The thread has two names.
We’re Mau (Mauricio) and Lau (Laura). We’ve been hosting for five years, and one of us personally oversees every stay, from your first message to your last morning.
We create private villa stays in Costa Rica for multigenerational families and bigger groups who want to gather, celebrate and truly rest. We take on what usually steals your time and energy, the planning, coordinating and solving, so you can focus on what matters: being together.

True Vacation began with a simple belief: the best vacations aren’t about doing more. They’re about feeling more. More calm, more presence, more moments that stay with you.
We watched many families and groups arrive with high hopes and a layer of stress: flights, grocery runs, schedules, questions, logistics. A beautiful villa isn’t enough if the week depends on one person in the group handling everything. There’s always one person coordinating and solving, and that person deserves a real vacation too.
So we built our standard: boutique, human, discreet service backed by excellent operations. The privacy of a villa with the warm attention of a seasoned host, and every stay tailored, because no two groups are the same.
